Antique Aquamarine Diamond Necklace: This elegant necklace is formed of a horizontally set oval aquamarine weighing 2.60ct in a scalloped, Old European cut diamond set mount with millegrain edging. A pear shaped aquamarine weighing 3.12ct and a further 3 diamonds, two of which are set in a leaf motif, are suspended on a knife blade from the upper section. Total diamond weight: 0.25ct.
Weight: 6.1gm. Measurements: 5.6cm x 2.3cm (2 1/2″ x 7/8″). The necklace has been finely handcrafted and is in very good condition, dating from around 1920, falling between the Edwardian and Art Deco eras. Tested as 9ct gold and attached to a more recent 18ct white gold 40cm (16″) chain.
It has been professionally cleaned and polished and would make a wonderful wedding necklace. The necklace has been in the previous owner’s family since it was new 100 years ago and has recently been purchased by us.
