Antique French Diamond Garnet Pendant From the Napoléon III era of the 1860s in France, this is a beautiful pendant set with Dutch rose cut diamonds in a floral design with swags and bows. The largest diamond weighs approximately 0.25ct. Total diamond weight: 1.00ct (assessed).
In the centre there is a deep red oval garnet of approximately 1ct, Millegrain set, and a Table cut garnet drop weighing 0.25ct. The pendant has been handmade in silver and is stamped with the French control mark, the Sanglier (Boar’s Head).
Measurements: 5cm x 2.5cm (2″ x 1″) including the diamond set bale. Weight: 8gm. The pendant is attached to a silver chain, length 48cm (19″) with a bolt ring clasp and is good antique condition. C.1860-1870. Ref: V1399
