Antique Silver Enamel J Aitken & Son Butterfly Brooch

Antique Sterling Silver and guilloche enamel butterfly brooch by J. Aitken & Son, Birmingham 1918;  this beautiful brooch is in the form of a large butterfly with turquoise enamel wings and a violet body.  To the reverse he has been gilded and is fitted with a pin and hook closure in good working order.  Weight: 12.80gm; measurements: 5.5cm diameter x 3cm height (2 1/4″ x 1″).  He is in good condition but with slight rubbing on the bottom of his body.  Fully hallmarked and numbered with maker’s mark.  Ref: K082
