Antique Witches Heart Diamond Brooch

Antique Witches Heart Diamond Brooch; this is a magnificent example of a large witches heart and would be a stand out brooch when worn.  It is formed of openwork diamond scrolling in a floral design set with 75 Old European and 27 Rose Cut diamonds over a gallery and a diamond border.  Total diamond weight estimated as 5.00ct; Colour G – J, Clarity VS – SI.  The dimensions are 47mm x 42mm.  Weight: 18.53gm.  To the reverse it is fitted with a pin and swivel lock closure.  Tested as silver front setting with gold back assessed as between 14 – 18ct gold.  This beautiful brooch is handmade and has been released for sale by a prominent Worcestershire family.  It is in very good condition and dates from around 1900.   Ref: MH40
