Mid Century Amethyst Gold Cocktail Ring

Huge mid century amethyst cocktail ring; this bold and dramatic ring makes a big statement with its large purple amethyst.  These big cocktail rings were the height of fashion in the 1950s and early 60s with amethysts, aquamarines and citrines being hugely popular.  The amethyst is set with 6 pairs of claws and weighs 23.50ct. Measurements: 23mm x  21mm x 10mm height off the finger.  It is in a stamped 9ct gold mount (tested); weight: 12gm.  Very good condition.  Finger size Q (UK/AU), 8.25 (US), 58 (French) which we can re-size for you if required.   C. 1960.
