French diamond halo ring set with a central brilliant cut diamond weighing 0.40ct and surrounded by 8 smaller brilliant cut diamonds totalling 0.40ct (total diamond weight 0.80ct). This is a classic mid century French ring with each diamond set over a “skirt” designed to give extra fire and sparkle, which it does in bucketloads! The main body of the ring is attached to triple banded shoulders which join a double banded shank. No attention to detail has been left out of this gorgeous ring which shimmers on the hand and would make a wonderful vintage engagement ring. It is mounted in platinum and 18ct white gold and is stamped with the French state control marks for both metals. Weight 5.1gm; measurements 1.6cms x 1.6cms. Finger size P (UK/AU), 7.75 (US), 56.5 (French) which we can re-size for you if required. The ring is in excellent vintage condition. C.1950s.
