Retro Gold Crossover Necklace and Earrings

Stylish retro heavy 9ct gold crossover necklace and earrings set by Cropp & Farr; the necklace is formed of a heavy gold weave and has a sapphire and cultured pearl motif at the crossover point. The pearl measures 5mm and is set in the centre of a gold and sapphire horizontal “figure-of-eight” design, the pale sky blue sapphires weigh 0.75ct (approximately). The necklace closes with a decorated fold over clasp and weighs 88gm. Length to motif 48cm plus 6cm to tip/19″ plus 2.5″; width 1.2cm (1/2″). Faded maker’s mark for Cropp & Farr and faded 9ct hallmark; tested as 9ct gold. The earrings are clips for non-pierced ears and weigh 8gm. Each one is 2cm (3/4″) and set with a central cultured pearl weighing 5.5mm set in a gold and sapphire shell design; the sapphires weigh 0.75ct (approximately). The earrings are unmarked and tested as 9ct gold. They are fitted with a clip to the back and we can add a post if required. The set dates from 1942 and is supplied with its original fitted box from 25 December 1942 and is in excellent condition. Ref: H053
