South Sea Pearl Gold Earrings

French South Sea pearl earrings in 18ct gold; these unusual earrings are in the form of a dangling acorn;  the pearls measure 9mm and have a strong, even  dark grey lustre.  They are set beneath a gold cap, suspended and allowing for movement.  The earrings are fitted with a post and high quality Smartlock earring backs.  Weight: 5.6gm.  Length of drop: 2cm (7/8″).   The earrings are stamped with the French 18ct gold state control mark (Eagle’s head) and the backs are stamped 18k and 750.  They are in excellent condition and date from the 1980s.   Ref: L037
