Victorian Diamond Pearl Pendant Brooch

Antique Victorian diamond and pearl pendant/brooch; this is a magnificent example of Victorian fine jewellery from the mid nineteenth century. The pendant is set with a Dutch Rose Cut diamond weighing 0.90ct surrounded by a border of Old Mine Cut diamonds totalling 4.10ct (approximately). Total diamond weight: 5.00ct. Below the main diamond there is an oval whitish silver pearl of strong lustre measuring 10mm and suspended from a loop. The detachable bale is diamond set and can be attached to a chain or velvet ribbon. This can be removed and there is a fitting which can be added when the pendant is worn as a brooch. Weight: 12.80gm. Measurements: 6cm x 3cm x 25mm (2 1/4″ x 1 1/8″ x 1/4″). Tested as 15ct gold and silver. It is in very good condition and dates from around 1860 – 1880. Ref: K098
