Victorian Etruscan Revival Gold Bracelet

£2,850.00

Victorian Etruscan Revival Gold Bracelet  This is a truly beautiful piece of antique jewellery complete with presentation box and letter documenting the bracelet’s history over 150 years from the mid Victorian era.

It is ornately decorated with a central star motif in blue enamel and a pearl.  The bracelet opens on a side hinge with a push-in clasp which is in good working order.  To the reverse there is a compartment with a lock of hair inside.

Weight: 18.7gm.  Measurements of the head: 30mm ( 1 1/4″) x 10mm (1/2″) height off the wrist.  Internal diameter: 5.5cm (2 1/4″) so this will fit a small – medium 6 1/4″ wrist.

The bracelet is in very good antique condition and has clearly been well looked after.  It is accompanied by a letter written on 2 February 1939 to a family member on her 21st birthday explaining that the lock of hair inside belonged to her grandmother, and the bracelet was originally worn every day by her great grandmother.  This dates the bracelet to around 1850 so it is a unique opportunity to invest in a remarkable piece of history.

Tested as 15ct gold.  Ref: V1398
