Victorian Heavy Silver Necklace and Fob This is a great example of a chunky Victorian chain necklace formed of solid curb links and fitted with a spring clip at the base.
There is a detachable silver fob by William James Bingley silversmiths, hallmarked Birmingham 1898. The front of the fob is engraved Birthday Present Alice, November 29 1900.
Weight including fob: 72.7gm. Length of chain: 56cm (22″) x 7.5mm depth. Tested as silver.
