Vintage Sapphire And Pearl Necklace

Cultured pearl, two row necklace with sapphire and pearl clasp by London jeweller, Alan Gard; this necklace forms part of a set with matching bracelet and earrings which were designed and handcrafted by Alan in the late 1970s in Hatton Garden.  The necklace is accompanied by a signed certificate stating this.  The lustrous white pearls measure 6.5 – 7mm and are individually knotted.  They are attached to a beautiful pearl and sapphire floral clasp with the pearls measuring 3.5mm, the sapphires totalling 1,50ct and a gold leaf surround.  There is a push-in tongue closure and a figure-of-eight security lock.  Length: 56cm (18″); weight: 63gm.  Measurements: 2.5cm x 2.5cm x 1.4cm (1″ x 1″ s 1/2″). Re-hallmarked 9ct gold, London 2021.  The necklace is of fine quality and condition as new.  C.1970s.  Ref: K055
