Vintage Sphene Solitaire Ring This is formed of a beautiful 3.33ct sphene, also known as titanite, which is prized by gem collectors for its intense fire that can exceed even that of a diamond. It displays shifting colours of intense brilliance in yellow, green and orange from different angles.
It is mounted in 4 four claw setting which is tested as platinum but has traces of a hallmark.
Weight: 3.4gm. Measurements of the head: 8.5mm x 8mm x 7mm height off the finger.
This unique ring is in very good condition and dates from around the 1960s.
